Born in the South Side of Chicago, the former lawyer and first African American First Lady can now also add best-selling author with her 2018 book Becoming to her impressive accomplishments. The memoir was followed by a Netflix documentary chronicling Mrs. Obama’s days during her book tour, where she made appearances to sold out stadiums. An unstoppable force for good, since then she has also launched The Michelle Obama Podcast and this month, she is set to premiere her new children’s cooking show Waffles + Mochi. It’s no surprise that Michelle Robinson Obama remains to be one of the most admired women in America today.
