Shequeta L. Smith

Former Fortune 500 Marketer turned multi-media entrepreneur Shequeta L. Smith has cleared the table and pulled up plenty of seats for minority women in the process. She left corporate America and began building a comic book empire through Shero Comics to create space for minority women in the industry, along with an all-female comic con, SheroCon, and the Shero Universe documentary.
Shequeta disrupted the male dominated space after years of discrimination and a lack of inclusivity faced in attempts to highlight our stories in the film and comic book industries. Her company has led the charge to make room for minority women to tell our stories freely and authentically in the comic book universe. Shequeta’s movement is only the start to filling the void that has failed women far too long and opens the door to the Shero Universe— a not so far away place where PINK IS POWER!
