If there’s anyone that’s already proven to be a breakout star this early in the year, it’s undoubtedly Amanda Gorman. The twenty-two year old has taken our country and the larger world by storm since she stepped on the presidential inauguration podium.

Ms. Gorman was not only the first person to be named National Youth Poet Laureate but she is also the youngest ever poet to read at a US presidential inauguration. Following in the footsteps of world-renowned poets Maya Angelou and Robert Frost, Amanda Gorman didn’t just deliver her original poem The Hill We Climb. She did so exceedingly well, taking the spotlight on the stage, which she shared with no less than Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez. Her poem sparked a light not only within Americans but within global citizens beyond our borders, making it an international sensation.

Since the January inauguration, two of her earlier published books have become best sellers. She has also become the first poet to be commissioned by the NFL to compose and recite an original work during this year’s Super Bowl LV pregame. We can’t wait to see how much higher Ms. Gorman goes up the hill of success, as she was just included in Time Magazine’s “Time 100 Next” list.
